With the master plan of an area renovation in Kyoto Umekoji area since 2020, the architect has designed the first renovation of a food wholesaler office into a share/co-working office complex. Along with the vision of this development, architectural elements, paint, materials, and details are mixed without creating contrasts with the old and new, or with the surrounding environment, so as to create a continuity with the cityscape and time.
京都梅小路西駅周辺をクリエイティブタウンとしてエリアリノベーションを継続的に行う計画の第１号案件として、食品卸商店のビルをものづくりをテーマにしたシェア・コワーキングオフィスとして一棟改修した。地域の典型的な建築形式への介入にあたり、長期的なまちづくりのビジョンに沿い、機能や設えは確かに刷新されながら、都市の時間的な連続性を保ち、ずっとそこにあったような佇まいの実現を目指している。
